All of us at Settlement Housing Fund are deeply grateful to the generous sponsors and contributors who supported our 2025 Building Foundations Together gala on October 22nd. More than 400 friends and colleagues from the affordable housing community came together to celebrate our outstanding honorees and to raise a record $780,000. This support will strengthen our work to create and preserve high-quality affordable housing for low-income households and provide services to families previously experiencing homelessness.
We are pleased to share photos below from the event, which celebrated the achievements of our honorees: Moshe McKie-Krisberg, President of Richman Housing Resources, Bryan Kelly, President of Development at Gotham Organization, Ahmed Tigani, Acting Commissioner of HPD, and Rachel Fee, Executive Director of the New York Housing Conference. These outstanding partners in our field have contributed so much to the advancement of affordable housing through the development, preservation and financing of new and rehabilitated housing, public policy and coalition building, and endless partnerships. In the attached video we also celebrated our Resident Engagement Services work with households leaving shelters and other neighbors who are now leaseholders in our latest new construction projects, Twin Parks Terrace and Weeksville Place. Finally, we paid tribute to Carol Lamberg, a beloved legend in affordable housing who served as Settlement Housing Fund’s Executive Director for 35 years and passed away earlier this year. Carol is dearly missed by all who knew her.
Many thanks to our dedicated board members and Co-Chairs, John Valladares, Rachel Grossman, and Jess Cherepski and our presenters Chuck Brass, Emily Lehman, John Valladares, Mathew Wambua, and Chuck Warren.
We are grateful to have so many wonderful partners in our community who make our work possible. Our thanks again to our generous supporters and honorees.
